Welcome to Enso Zen Acupuncture: Your Home for Traditional Asian Medicine in Matthews, Indian Trail, and Mint Hill.
We're happy to welcome you to the official website of Enso Zen Acupuncture in Matthews, North Carolina. Our offices offer a wealth of natural, safe, and effective healing techniques rooted in Asian medical traditions. These techniques, some of which date back thousands of years, continue to enjoy popularity throughout the world for their ability to treat a wide range of conditions without invasive surgery or potentially dangerous drugs.

How Acupuncture Works
Ancient healers in China, Japan, and other Asian countries developed complex, detailed systems and techniques for tackling every conceivable health problem. Central to their approach is the idea that good health and physical function depend on the flow of life energy (Qi) along pathways in the body known as meridians. Whenever imbalances in this Qi flow occur, pain, systemic dysfunction, and vulnerability to illness may result. Acupuncture, the insertion of fine needles at multiple strategic points along the meridians, can normalize the flow of life energy to relieve symptoms and restore (or maintain) health.
We offer a variety of traditional services and techniques to address such diverse health challenges as anxiety, back pain, low back pain, knee pain, infertility, headaches, and neck pain. These techniques, which can be both safe and effective for most individuals and all ages, include:
-
Japanese acupuncture - A form of acupuncture that uses thinner needles and shallower needling techniques than its Chinese predecessor
-
Zen Shiatsu - A variant of Shiatsu that employs slightly different diagnostic techniques and use of meridians from other forms of Shiatsu
-
Kampo - Japanese medicinal herbs that offer a safer alternative to pharmaceuticals
-
Cosmetic Acupuncture - The use of acupuncture that stimulates the facial skin and muscles to achieve a younger, healthier look
